Sidemount Diver
Change your perception and discover the flexibility of this new configuration.
Having scuba tanks on your back is not a requirement for exploring the underwater world. Many scuba divers have discovered the joy of mounting cylinders to the side. Often used for cave diving, a sidemount configuration gives you flexibility and a number of streamlining options.
Along with learning about the many benefits of diving with a sidemount configuration, during one confined water and three open water scuba dives you will learn how to properly assemble and configure sidemount scuba diving equipment, how to trim your weight system and sidemount gear so you are perfectly balanced in the water, how to manage gas by switching second stages as planned (if wearing two cylinders), and how to respond correctly to potential problems when sidemount diving.
