Snorkeling has been around for thousands of years, dating back to Ancient Greek sponge growers who used hollow reeds to breathe beneath the surface of the sea.

Designed for people who love the ocean or for those curious to discover what lies underneath the surface. You don’t need to be an expert to enjoy the beauty of the sea, if you can swim, you can snorkel!

On your half-day trip, it will take approximately 15 to 20 minutes by boat to reach the beautiful site of Santa Irini. We keep the number of snorkelers limited so that our team can take care of everyone’s individual needs and ensure that you will have the most enjoyable experience.

You will be accompanied by experienced professional guides who will take you through the theory basics during which they will explain how to use the equipment and tell you more about the local underwater life and environment for you to have a better understanding of what you will see.

You will first stop at the old hidden chapel dedicated to Saint Irene, built by island fishermen and shepherds, where you will observe an amazing natural underwater phenomenon. Thanks to its surrounding volcanic geology, the site offers incredible underwater scenery where thousands of bubbles emanate from the volcanic seabed of the island to elegantly reach the surface.

On the second stop, the rocky landscape hides mysterious underwater caverns, where you will discover most of the Mediterranean species. The most famous ones are Octopus, Cuttlefish, Sea bream, Ornate Wrasse, Flounder, Goatfish, Lionfish, Scorpionfish, and Sponges, all of them surrounded by hundreds of fish.
